Back from Bangkok!
Didn't take much photos during this trip because most of the time we were busy shopping away.
4th-9th January
At the airport... before we flew off to Bangkok...
we had dinner at burger king.
My KING loves to eat burgers...
he even snatched mine away from me :'(
Our first meal at Bangkok...
we got cheated quite badly...
a taxi driver brought us to this restaurant that is out to cheat tourists.
i'm lazy to go into details why we ended up there...
but anyway... the taxi had incentive for 'tricking' tourists there...
the idiots who were out to cheat us!
We were even served with towels...
we paid SGD$250 for this meal..
which consists of

.
1) a crab...
360 thai baht/100 gram
this crab weighed more than 1kg!
2) a plate of pandan leaf wrapped chicken
and 3) a bowl of green curry
So ridiculous right! Not forgetting we are in Bangkok.
The total bill for this meal could have bought 70 burgers for my king!
But we were not the worst...
this couple ordered 2 giant lobsters which cost 660 baht/100 gram...
each lobster weigh approximately 2kg or more...
these 2 lobsters alone cost SGD$1500
a calculator on the table... while she was counting the stack of money...
they were calculating for a long time with the waiters before they paid...
they paid more than 10 pieces of 1000 thai baht plus a whole stack of US dollars.
gosh... i think they'll remember this meal for the rest of their life.
The next day, I brought dearie to a restaurant i patronised during my last trip for supper because the food and the ambience were good.
We ordered...
1) seafood tom yam soup...
2) sauteed morning glory
and 3) Pepper and Garlic crab...
simply because we wanted to see and taste the difference between a 360baht/100 gram crab and a 380 baht/per crab crab.
Indeed there was great difference!...
this crab was much smaller and didn't taste as good as the SGD180 crab!
The total bill for this meal was only 650+ thai baht.
Our shopping purchases....
out of the 4 soft toys...
only Marie (the cat) is mine ok!
the other 3 (pig, monkey and xiao xin) belongs to dearie...
see!... dear dear... you still say i childish =p
it's alright... like that then we are a perfect match :)
anyway... the most expensive thing among all things in the picture...
is a small pink charmmy kitty pouch (that's if you can spot it)...
and AGAIN! it's kitty.
cats drive me crazy!
no wonder dearie said this twice... "stupid cat!"
first, when he tried to squeeze marie into our empty shopping bag!
and it occupied the whole shopping bag.
second, when he exclaimed the cost of the small pouch is equivalent to his stack of clothes. (exaggerated!)
hee... but i know he loves me... that's why he allowed me to buy both :)

after working at chevrons countdown party...
we made our way taboo...

that explains our red faces...
on the cab...
my god.... they even smuggled the glasses out
it was a crazy ride on the cab...
drinking champagne on the cab...
oh.. where's zeta?
while we were taking pictures...
she was chatting away happily with the cab driver. haas.
before we could even partied till 5am...
zeta and evon were totally gone...
jiali's friend who was also drunk insisted to come over and look for her.
great... so we had 3 drunkards with us!
puking and shouting all the way from taboo to the chinatown porridge.
jiali took care of her friend and i was left alone with zeta and evon...
i nearly gave up...
the moment i was chasing after zeta...
some stranger came to me and said...
"you chase the front one... but you turn back...
your other friend stop there vomitting." (-_-")...
my god... so i walked back to evon...
and the strangers went to help zeta...
but zeta scolded them. Haahaa.
what a start for year 2008!
