dar³ packed mickey and minnie into his cabin luggage without me asking :)
their virgin trip abroad... and many more to come!
dar³ placed them nicely on the bed before leving the room...
dar³ totally went against my next surprise for him :(
i was going to book a dinner for two at the french fine dining restaurant...
SPOON by Alain Ducasse... at intercontinental hotel.
that would cost me about SGD$800 for full course dinner with drinks...
dar³ scolded me :( and said that he will not go... boohoohoo.
He didn't want me to spend such extravagance on him.
initially he thought it was HKD$800...
which is about SGD$160... sounds reasonable...
but when he found out it was SGD... he thought i was out of my mind.
sigh... surprise plan failed... i really had no idea what other surprise to give him.
so after some discussion...
we decided to head to victoria peak for dinner...
but we were totally enervated after the flight and overslept.
By the time we woke up.. it was to late to head to the peak.
So we settled for dinner at a decent restuarant nearby...
and decided that we would go to the peak the next day

went back to the hotel...
and delight in our honeymoon cake.
we both ate the whole cake up. hee.
2nd day...
we both woke up late again :(
can't imagine what a piggy dar³ i have...
and his sleep is so contagious.
all prepared to leave the hotel...

had 'breakfast' at the 茶餐厅 just a few steps away from our hotel...
dar was so famished that he insisted on ordering 2 plates of 肠粉 and 猪扒面

after shopping around...
wanted to head back to the hotel before heading to sham shui po...
cus dar needed to do his change of flight urgently...
he was rostered for flight on 13th and 14th...
luckily after so much hassle and effort... dar³ managed to get both days off...
otherwise we would have to return back to sg on 12th.
*phew~ thank god*but we ended up staying in the hotel for hours
and didn't have time to go to sham shui po :\
we could only go down to 女人街 to walk walk.
at around 8 pm we went back to the hotel...
got all dressed up and was ready to make our way to victoria peak.
dar³ already made a table booking at
Cafe Deco for 2 at 9pm...
it was a long long way to the peak...
on the way to take the peak tram terminal...
we saw these magnificent tall buildings towering over us...
after 爬山过海...
we finally reached the peak tram terminal!

it was a pity that we couldn't make it to the roof terrace in time...
even though we managed to get the tickets :(
although it isn't my first time to the peak...
but i could barely remember how it is like after so many years.
Most importantly, it's the company of dar³ that makes this trip up the peak a more meaningful one :)
Took the tram down and cabbed back to our hotel...
went back to change into comfy clothes and came out again :)

and there was a rather nice ktv place
just a couple of steps away from our hotel...

took a train to shenzhen on the 3rd day...
Dar³ was excited when he saw this
the first mainland china macdonald was open on his 8th birthday...
Brought dar³ to 乐园路 for seafood!

But the restaurant service was bad...
dar³ got pretty frustrated :(

guessed what happened during the trip...
like usual... dar³ and i always like kids playing with each other crazily...
i was teasing dar³ about something...
and was chasing after him around the room...
fought on the bed... then i suddenly hit my head against him...
so i pretended to be in great pain...
dar³ got anxious when he heard me crying in pain
and tried to checked me out...
at that moment i pounced back onto him...
he got so mad and started chasing me back in the room.
i couldn't stopped laughing... and curled up like a ball on the bed.
dar³ stopped playing with me... wanting to take his shower...
suddenly he heard a loud cry from me...
he stopped and turned back... i was lying on the floor.
i rolled off the bed unknowingly while laughing...
only realised i was in a bad state after i heard two bone cracks.
dar³ thought i was just playing another trick on him...
until i cried out... "serious this time"...
and my face was turning pale...
i could barely move...
dar³ carried me onto the bed...
i was practically trembling in fear for an hour...
dar³ tried all ways to calm me down...
and wanted to call the ambulance...
omg... i was frightened like hell...
i hate doctors... i hate hospitals... i hate clinics!
at that moment... we were totally clueless about what to do...
we didn't know if was a fracture, a dislocate or a sprain.
dar³ googled online for these three...
and see what was the best way to relieve the pain...
like i said... he's my superman khoo!
this time... my
Dr. Khoo.
and online sources said that using ice will greatly help relieve pain...
there was no ice in the room... so dar³ used the super cold can drinks...
and the arm must be raised above the heart...
so he stacked pillows for my arm...
my fingers were turning 'black' due to poor blood circulation :(
i could barely move my right arm...
and i couldn't lift my arm without help from dar³ or my left hand.
i was in such as shaken and lost state...
each time dar³ said he was going to bring me to see the doctor...
i begged him not to bring me to see the doc...
he wanted to call his papa to inform his parents what had happened...
i begged him not to also... i didn't want them to worry and
thought that dar³ did not take care of me well.
dar³ said that if necessary...
he will fly me back to singapore the very next day to seek medical help...
i cried out even more...
i didn't want the trip to end this way :(
i still wanted to enjoy the whole trip with him...
but dar³ said that we can always come back here again...
my health matters most to him... more than the trip.
i was so glad that dar³ was right beside me when this happened...
even though i was the one in pain...
but he too went through all the mental trauma with me...
and in all ways tried to reduce my pain...
and i know he was as worried sick as much as i do...
or in fact even more...
the next day he asked the receptionist where was the nearest hospital or pharmacy...
he wanted to at least get me an arm support...
because my fingers were always turning black...
after much aimless walking...
dar³ was so glad he found the hospital...
there were butterflies in my stomach when i stepped into the hospital...
i hate the hospital!
the last few occasions to the hospital to visit my granny and grandpa...
i blacked out and fainted...
i have no idea what kind of phobia is this...
i started perspiring profusely... turned cold and white...
my vision gone blur and black...
from then on...
my aunt forbids me to do any hospital visits unless really necessary
anyway... dar³ found the orthopedics department...
and went in on behalf of me...
while i waited for him outside cus i was too afraid...
and luckily the doctor was understanding enough.
he advised dar³ to get an xray done to see what's wrong first.
so here i am at the x-ray department...
the quiet and eerie corridors...
creepy staircase...
that gives me the
spine-chilling sensation...
the x-ray was out...
doctor said my soft bone was crushed in between two other bones...
something like that... he spoke in chinese...
which both of us couldn't really understand.
anyway... he tried to lift my arm all the way up...
and i was screaming the hell out of my life...
i was quite sure the people outside could hear my screams...
he directed me to the bed...
lifted my arm more than 180 degrees...
put it back to place... and lifted it again...
(i was screaming in pain and tears were at the corner of my eyes)then there was a bone crack sound...
he said... "there u hear it?"...
my arm felt much better after he did that...
although not totally recovered...
he said it has passed too long a time to seek medical help...
he prescribed some medication and
said that i would have to use the arm support for half a month...
i won't be able carry any heavy things for the next one month...
and can only perform light movements like holding the chopsticks.
trust me... it was a horrible experience...
but there was one thing made me felt better...
dar³ jokingly said he will get me a pink arm support...
i thought it was not possible...
but true enough the nurse handed me a pink arm support!
it was such a sense of relief to dar³ after seeing the doctor...
and of course i did feel less distressed too...
Had our dinner at genki sushi after that...

my mini pocky bar in dar³'s room...
oh yah... the giant strawberry flavoured pocky was bought at the hongkong airport...
and it cost SGD$20... i thought it was overpriced...
but dar³ insisted in getting it cus it's my favourite snack :) ...
and he has been collecting pocky all around the world for me :)
samsam too contributes to my collection of pocky! love them to bits!
* so sad :( i can't find the picture of the orange flavoured that samsam bought for me...
and the blueberry flavoured one that dar³ bought for me*p.s. I love Dr. Khoo
